Songs to stir up the Christmas spirit will be performed by the Tallahassee Civic Chorale during its winter concert, ‘A Dan Forrest Christmas’.

The concert will be performed on December 13, at 7:30 p.m., in the Turner Auditorium at Tallahassee Community College.

The concert will feature selections of new and familiar songs, all arranged by composer Dan Forrest, that bring forth the imagery and emotions of the winter season.

“The Chorale has always enjoyed singing selections by Dan Forrest,” said Dr. Leslie Heffner, director of the Tallahassee Civic Chorale. “He explores the many colors of the voice to access a wide range of emotions.”

You can purchase tickets at the door or in advance online - the tickets are only $13 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and free for Tallahassee Community College students and staff.

You can also purchase a ticket in advance.

The concert will also be livestreamed for those who prefer to enjoy the concert from the quiet of their own space.

The Tallahassee Civic Chorale is Northwest Florida’s hidden gem of choral music.

Established in 1986, the Tallahassee Civic Chorale is a non-profit, non-auditioned mixed choir of approximately 40 to 60 singers.

The chorale is open to anyone in the Big Bend community and performs three major concerts during its season with a mix of masterworks, musical theater, traditional and contemporary selections.

In addition to our concerts, the choir shares its love of singing through local civic events and to those who are otherwise unable to attend cultural events.

The Chorale offers beautiful music, camaraderie, and an opportunity to serve the community through its various civic activities.
