Pimlico, Man-O’-War Parks see upgrades as county acquires them

Two Killearn Acres Parks have been seeing upgrades just months after Leon County acquired them.

In March, Man-O’-War and Pimlico Parks were transferred to the care of the Leon County Government with plans to clean up and renovate them so they adhered to county park standards.

In late August, Man-O’-War Park, which is located at 6568 Man-O’-War Trail,  got a new swing set with an ADA-accessible swingset.

New, certified playground mulch was added to the playground, as well as a new border around it.

Additionally, mowing and edging was done to the park to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Pimlico Park has also received a number of upgrades since March.

The parking lot was filled in for increased safety, and the park was mowed and edged.

New signs were installed at the park and the park entrance was also enhanced.

This park will also get a new playground structure later this year.
